Businesses with fewer than 50 employees are exempt from penalties that otherwise will be imposed for not covering their workers. Small businesses with fewer than 25 workers and average wages of less than $50,000 get tax credits to help cover their workers. The state health insurance exchanges, which go into effect in 2014, will also allow small businesses to buy coverage there. ..."
Lets see... If I ran a restaurant or a small construction company with 49 workers that didn't provide health insurance, I'd not hire another until it was clear the economy was booming and my sales were up far more than the cost to pay the new "tax" penalty.... as I doubt any would suddenly find it profitable to pay $10,000 or more per worker (assuming they have a family) for health insurance...

It seems another cheesy way to get medium sized business to pay higher taxes. I'd sure love to hear what Brinker suggests what the government should do for health care to solve the problem crushing small businesses who want health care but find it is something like 10 to 20% of what they already pay and they are just getting by now.

Someone should ask if he gives full health care to the people who answer the phones at the MT office... ;)
