(Nokia and) Microsoft Monday: The Rumor Mill is in OverDrive ...

Monday will be interesting. One thing I can just about guarantee is that Nokia will NOT be using Monday or any other date to launch the Symbian Belle Nokia 808 PureView. While I'm likely 6to replace my Symbian Belle N8 with the 808PV later this year or early next year I can't imagine anything more counterproductive to themselves, to their shareholders, or to their relationship with Microsoft ... except possibly an announcement that they have a new Plan B and that plan is to build and market Android devices.

Some rumors are pointing towards a Windows Phone Nokia Lumia PureView. I think it's a bit early for that. Verizon??? Also too early I would think although that would be way cool but their event is (apparently) about FiOS. A Nokia Windows RT-based tablet? Seems early but not impossible.

The Nokia countdown clock on Facebook and the new Nokia teaser image there ...



... are certainly indicative that Nokia has something to announce but the chances are 99.9% that whatever it is Microsoft related. Ain't no way that Nokia would attempt to steal Microsoft's thunder.

We shall see what we shall see, and both Monday and Wednesday should be very interesting.
