Has a big range but it's a slow lens with a min f of 3.5 which if I'm not mistaken isn't great for low light shoots including theater.

I guess it is a pretty big step however compared to this from Canon:

Still love my 50mm 1.2, 70-200mm 2.8 is and my 300mm 2.8 which you'll have to pry from my hands.

Will be interesting to see what Canon does to counter.
