The problem I see is that while AMD and NVDA can leverage graphics volumes to fund each generation of products which are also used in HPC or other places, Intel's MIC approach is restricted to the these lower volume applications, and lacks the graphics volume.

It will be joining some good history at Intel: i860 and iTanic ISAs. TWT if it fairs any better.
