I see no reason why you should even try to change the minds of your elders any more than I would see a reason for anyone to try to change my mind about eating beef.

Perhaps if the newer generation took an active role in cultural change instead of considering the problem an inside joke, Koreans might treat their dogs better.........just a thought..
