Amazon and Apple may be the modern version of the Hatfields and McCoys. Now that Apple has been found guilty of conspiring with the book distributors, the gloves have come off and it's a bare knuckles fight in the music arena. After I saw Haley's album selling for $9.95 at the iTunes store, I checked Amazon and found the same download for $4.99. I'm guessing the artist and the distributor will get the same payday from either retailer. Amazon just cut their own margin... a good deal for me.
