That's certainly been said before and I don't disagree. I think there are major issues with the markets today, especially relating to HFT. I don't mind the electronic exchanges so much but it has certainly created a new machine so to speak. That all said, I don't much care about how Facebook does in the first few day and I'm hoping it drops lower than its current price of $35. It's an amazing opportunity and I'd love to see it in the high $20s. Talking about a broken system ... it actually worked in my favor because half of my early orders for Facebook Friday were busted trades that I assumed got filled, never got a confirmation of and eventually were turned into "Canceled" orders ... but not by my hand. So I'm sitting with 1/2 the shares I wanted and a price $6 less than the IPO. Sometimes the system breaks in your favor I guess. J
