RE "start working down our national debt" Would prefer for consider myself a realist than a pessimist, but before we reduce the debt by penny one, we've got a $Trillion+ annual budget shortfall which has to be closed. The idiots in DC couldn't even agree how to reduce the deficit by 1 $trillion over ten years! That's only ~10% of the problem they couldn't solve. The debt doesn't get "reduced" until we can balance the budget, pay the interest on the debt AND still have more leftover. Until we have a congress full of Ron Paul clones, that's not going to happen. And if it does, you'll see idiots here just like in Greece protesting the gov't not cut spending not realizing that the money has to come out of their own pocket! I always get a kick out of the fools protesting because what they don't understand is their protest is really to "tax me more"! Then the Gov't can waste a significant portion before it puts what's left into their favorite "social program". lol
