Is the timing of the new release as important as when peoples' contracts expire so they can purchase a newer model at the subsidized price?

Personally even if the phone is released tomorrow I can't get one until November and won't because I'm not interested in paying full price for a cell phone.

I believe many people are in the same boat and don't care what other phones are available.

Seems the only people that buy other things are people that need something right now and want bigger screens and LTE.

I only know of 1 person that went that way the rest of my friends are waiting for their cheap upgrades and whatever Apple releases.
