Android 4.0 tablet PCs to dominate in 3Q12

Android 4.0-based tablet PCs will be the dominant products in the segment in the third quarter of 2012 as most brand vendors will not rush to launch Windows 8-based models until the fourth quarter, according to industry sources.

Since it still takes time to test related Windows 8-based products coupled with the current flat demand for tablet PCs, most vendors now deem that there is no urgent need to launch Windows 8-based tablets, indicated the sources.
