The sale of the phone would be sufficient to cover the cost of having it able to make a call sometime. Selling a phone for $500 which is then unused is fine. That's $300 profit or something like it.

The phones cost Globalstar $480 landed cost from Qualcomm.


You entire thesis is based on service and equipment based on "What you think things cost or should cost."


Not reality...


I think Earthquake, Tornado, and Hurricane Insurance SHOULD cost $10 a year. But, I do not sit here and debate pricing and risk factors based on what I believe the cost of the Insurance should be.
