Apple doesn't follow and has no need to make a Kindle like device. That would be going backward.

I have no idea about whether Apple will make a Kindle-sized device either, but I don't think it's a bad idea as long as they can keep good margins on it.

When have you ever seen Apple dumb down something that they make? Quite the opposite, they just make the products better with more features.

The iPod Shuffle comes to mind. :-)
