|Tax season is now officially over. No more getting home at 10pm or later and having to be back in the office by 9 pretending to be cheerful and sympathetic while explaining why they can't claim their 8 dogs and 6 cats as dependents even though they some how managed to get social security cards for them. No more explaining why their refund is $5,000 less than his/her buddy at work who has 5 kids and they have none. No more explaining why they owe the IRS $9,000+ when they only had $231 withheld for federal tax on their $89,000 salary, and are separated from their lousy spouse who took all the deductions along with the 3 kids.|
And last, but by no means least, why we require you to actually pay for your return now rather than have us withhold it from the refund the IRS is going to keep In full because you decided not to pay child support to your bitchy ex who won't let you see your kids who don't want to see you anyway because you spend all your time in front of the TV drinking beer the whole weekend you have them.
Fortunately, there are the really nice clients who come to see me year after year and actually listen to the advice I give them. Maybe that's why I keep doing this year after year. So now it's time to catch up on the to-do list and hope none of them find my home phone number. :)
