Xot: Hypothetical question (anyone can answer)

Suppose you decided to sell off an investment in your IRA and use the proceeds to add to your existing Preferred Portfolio. If that influx were to raise your Preferred funds by 50%, would you simply add 50% to each of your existing positions or do something different?
