If it were just Sue and me? The motivation to follow this so closely and brain storm the contingency planning - in order to increase the odds of survival - wouldn't be there. We're old. In the grand scheme of things, what's the difference if we live another 5 yrs instead of 10. When we're gone, it's over. Period.

But with two sons and a grandson we have a big emotional stake already invested in the future and that changes the attitude completely.
