Looks like it is pretty even now. Fifteen years ago you had to watch the Canadian gas stations because they would try to give you Canadian money change for American dollars. A Canadian who used to own a restaurant in Oregon where I lived had the habit of bringing Canadian dollars and running them through his own till one to one. He'd take the difference and buy booze with it. That's why he doesn't own the restaurant any more, and also why he is dead.
