Regarding airline travel, of course not all seats are sold 'at the gate' by auction to whoever is willing to wait. People need to plan ahead. So they hold an auction for the seats ahead of time, take payment and the flight is then paid for.
But, this is NOT what how you claim Globalstar should be sold. You preach "instantaneous pricing based on demand at that moment". When someone is making a call, text shows up and says, "Satellite is fulling up, next minute will cost you $10, do you want to continue talking? If not, goodbye. Click.
Sorry, more people want a seat on the plane than is available. Your seat is now $1200, if you don't want to pay that price, then leave the plane.
That is no way to run a rail-road, or an airline.
