Based on my experience if you ever go that route get a developer who knows something about photography. I've worked on several medical programs, one very large that ended up costing a national company over $800 million to develop last count. Programmers were brilliant but knew squat about medicine. Amazing how they could misinterpret intent and come up with wacky solutions, no where near what was explained to them.
