One correction. The people showed great judgement in voting for Gore over Bush Jr. However, our electoral college rules and Bush's back room courtroom tactics won the day. One more reason to go to a popular vote and eliminate the electoral college. It's an anachronism. Think about how different this country would have been had Gore been President.
