I watched Gingrich's and Santorum's speeches last night; believe me, neither one is going anywhere for a while. As long as Gingrich has someone filling his coffers, his ego won't quit no matter who says what. He can still go to the convention with 200-300 delegates and possibly be the kingmaker if Mitt has 1050, Santorum 950 and Paul has his little band too. Much more fun to cut a deal where Newt gives his delegates to someone on the first ballot in the full national limelight than to cave in right now. And Santorum can still hope that that scenario plays out, or Mitt does something incredibly stupid and gives Santorum an opening in the final big states. Like the rest of their party, the munchkins won't have a coherent single candidate or message for months to come still. Yummy.
