as I recall this was fruitcake's reason for leaving

I posted that subject 5 days after I took over the site (July of last year) and I was immersed in spaghetti code, making interface and performance improvements as quickly as possible. Over the following 4 weeks, the site changed substantially and performance became lightning fast. The site has not gone off the air since then, except for 45 minutes (scheduled at midnight on a Saturday) when I moved the site from physical servers in Kansas to virtual servers at Rackspace.
