Thanks for that chart! Yep looks like the shorts ran the stops and triggered mucho selling.

Monday's overall OI was 425,135 on total volume of 178,468. Yesterday's COT OI was 427,699, on volume of 194,112 representing an increase of OI of +1564 from Monday, and +4743 from last Tuesday.

Also note there was some pretty heavy volume going into the close on PMs - prolly short covering. Most of the majors look like this:
