E-Cat Test Validates Cold Fusion Despite Challenges pesn.com
The test of the E-Cat (Energy Catalyzer) that took place on October 6, 2011 in Italy has validated Andrea Rossi's claim that the device produces excess energy via a novel Cold Fusion nuclear reaction.
Converts nickel and hydrogen to copper.

A recent (October 6th) demo of one of the 52 modules that will constitute the megawatt plant was witnessed by a group of distinguished scientists that included the following:
Prof. Petterson Roland – Uppsala University Prof. Campari Enrico (Univ. Bologna) Prof. Bonetti Ennio (Univ. Bologna) Prof. Levi Giuseppe (Univ. Bologna) Prof. Clauzon Pierre (CNAM-CEA Paris) Dott. Bianchini David (Univ. Bologna) Ing. Swanson Paul D. (Space and Naval Warfare Systems- US Navy) Prof. Focardi Sergio (Univ. Bologna) Prof. Stremmenos Christos (Univ. Atene) Prof. Jobson Edward (Univ. Goteborg) Ing. Vandevalle Koen (Belgio) Dr Enrico Billi (Fisico, Ricercatore, CINA)
The test ran for three hours without any external power, producing a significant amount of heat. The unit was then reweighed and disassembled in full view of the assembled crowd. It was promising but could have been better planned to satisfy the skeptics. The Oct. 28 demo will be for a US customer who remains anonymous.

----- The Relentless Pursuit of Magical Energy forbes.com
I’m going to go out on a limb here with a prediction. The energy world will look exactly the same the day after October 28th, 2011, as it did yesterday. Why? On October 28th we’re expecting a public demonstration of a “revolutionary” new energy device in Bologna, Italy. The magic technology? Another too-cheap-to-meter construct called the “e-cat” machine invented and promoted by Italian Andrea Rossi. Cold fusion … again, but with an updated label; Low-Energy Nuclear Reaction. Will it change the world? No. Will it work? Doubt it.
