Australia's parliament passes a carbon tax which will only end up hurting the little guy that is already struggling in the name of global warming while Ireland is expecting a mini ice age. So right there obviously this is all crap. There were protests everywhere in Australia over this bill and hopefully it's a lesson to other countries as Gillard had promised there would be no carbon tax while she was in power. Her party is now done for and has no chance in the next election.

The countries that have the biggest emmissions are the countries producing oil and gas for the world. Instead of passing carbon taxes I think they should shut down all mining and drilling. Lets kill everyone in the northern hemisphere that experiences cold and has no heat and see how long people can go without electicity around the world and maybe once they start begging for things to be started back up they will realize that the cost of Al Gore's BS is only benefitting him and how many lives are at risk because of it.

If people would educate themselves they would realize that coal plants in NA have so many scrubbers they only emit carbon dioxide into the air. Carbon dioxide is not causing global warming. The sun is responsible for the weather and all these plants are being moved to China were there aren't the same regulations and they do emit a lot more. So people don't seem to realize China is on the same planet and what they do affects us all so how does that make sense to move plants there. Instead we have elderly people here freezing to death because they can't afford the heat thanks to all this BS. We could have lots of cheap electricity if people would start to wake up and realize this is all lies. The planet has been cooling for the last 10 years but as long as the eco terrorists are controlling the government we will continue to let elderly and the poor suffer. Disgusting.

Australia's carbon tax debate: key quotesThe Australian parliament has passed a historic clean energy bill to put a price on carbon, after years of heated debate on the issue.

Ireland could be facing into decades of harsh winters, according to new research about to be published in Nature magazine.

The study undertaken by by Britain's Met Office, shows there has been a fall in the sun’s ultra violet emissions, which could cause winters in Europe to become even harsher.

Forecasters have predicted the potential return of a weather pattern called La Nina, which has been linked to extreme weather around the world. It is brought on by a temperature drop in the Pacific Ocean and affects upper air currents. La Nina is thought to have been the cause of last year’s extreme weather conditions in Ireland.
