OK I agree with this statement "The fact is however that many books sold from the iBook store, Google books and the Nook store aren't in those formats and won't work on the kindle without an App." However more important than whether books come from the iBook store, Google books or the Nook store is how many books can only be obtained at those stores and not at Amazon. If a book can be obtained either from the iBok store or from Amazon at approximately the same price then it is not a big deal if a Kindle Fire does not support the iBook store format.
