AMAT. Haven't listened to conf. My opinion is different from yours though. Solar was down this quarter in reading their quarterly . I believe they may have outlooked better -- outlooked improvement -- going forward. Solar only a relatively small portion of AMAT's business.

My interpretation of what's happening is this: China gov't is forcing Chinese companies to produce solar "stuff" in excess of what demand currently is. Which means no company can compete and make a profit. Which maybe (?) means demand for AMAT solar equipment will not improve unless demand somehow improves enough to catch "excess" supply.

It's one of the reasons though that I gave up on AMAT now. (Even though solar is that small portion of AMAT's business.)

I acknowledge I may be totally wrong on what's happening as regards China/solar/AMAT.
