|Hi Tom -|
What's your 50% investment strategy on the MHR preferreds? I have a three pronged approach. First, I would like to try to book a portion of my losses in the D's but must wait 31 days before buying back the position. The C are not falling as fast as the D's so maybe the play is to wait for the C's to yield 20% then load into them. Or finally, just hold on and collect the monthly dividend and revisit both the C's and D's in 30 - 60 days, double up and then sell a portion in 31 days to book any loss.
The D's off 11.78 % and C's off 8.5 %.
When buying these preferreds, my original reason was income. Therefore, I will probably hold on collect the income and once the yield are close to 20%, I will load up the truck. I doubt very much that these will be worthless as they are collateralized by the NG and Oil assets of the company.
