There have been musings that Google intends to control both hardware and software (and everything else in between, I suppose), just like Apple. Say that turns out to be the case, imagine what the Apple-hating open source apologists will do when they wake up to find themselves in the very kind of walled environment they have condemned. Is anyone going to jump off the Googleplex, I wonder?
