Well my journey for a new notebook that started in November 2010 with a Lenovo ThinkPad W510, sent it back, tried a Dell XPS and an Asus N Series, sent them back, finally got one I like, that meets my needs, and meets all the items in my *fussy* list. Works well, no issues, very nice machine, I highly recommend it.
The new Toshiba Satellite P750 i7 15.6 notebook.
And a Cooler Master Notepal U2 Notebook Cooler with Two Fans R9-NBC-8PBK-GP (but I removed the fans, fans are removable so you can place them where cooling is needed, quick release fans)
