There are many monetization business plans, but my guess is that between now and not too many years from now, Snurf can float an IPO even if SI is a free site. Zynga has such a model. $25m for 25% of the company would be a home run for the current owners. But for any stock thread on this site to be useful for investors, the time and effort to read it and post to it has to be in a sensible relation to the results obtained and obtainable. Too many posts a day makes it less useful. So if active members grow to 10 times current active members, that could be a problem. If the current header weeds out some people, who think appearances outweigh content, that could even be part of a good plan.
