(Yes, there are still people who pay money for crap like Norton Antivirus yearly updates, but that's just ignorance...) Jurgis: Those ignorant people may constitute close to half of Windows desktop users, including me. Please explain to the ignorant why, in a world where every "celebrity" website on the internet pops up various phishing scams and malware downloaders, and Microsoft has been struggling with security issues now for decades ever since they learned what the word "network" meant, and armies of zombified XP machines are used to conduct DDS attacks every day, and cyber crime is a multi-billion-dollar global industry, and an unprotected XP machine exposed to the open internet will become a zombie within a half hour, and etc. etc. it is a waste of money to subscribe to a service that at least attempts to keep up with the black hats? Maybe they're alway behind, but I'd rather be a little behind than nowhere. Yes all the other OS'es are also subject to hacking but Microsoft has the largest market share etc. etc. Thanks for sharing your wisdom. --QS
