KPELY 2010 tax question [then NBG one]: On 7/16/2010 we people who held KPELY got some cash which my statement (for July) listed under Dividends & Interest as "redeemed." Now, my 1099 lists the amount I got in the section for Form 1099-B (Brokerage stuff).

Anyone know what this was for? No number of shares were reported. Unless I can figure out what the heck this was for, the safest thing is just to pay tax on the entire amount.

Also, a relative who held onto National Bank of Greece got something basically identical the end of October. He called me last night about it. So, information for anyone who still holds NBG and can enlighten will also be appreciated.
