On my '33 Ford the ignition is interlocked with the electric door poppers. When the engine is switched on, the door poppers are deactivated so we don't have any 70MPH OOOPS's with the doors flying open.

Actually suicide doors make entering and exiting quite pleasant.

Here's a photo of my first kit. It's an MCEschermobile. I had a hard time getting through the assembly manual. It took a really long time to get it right:
