CKG Warrants for US holders

I read something this weekend I was not aware of. An article said, "For regulatory reasons, U.S. residents generally aren't allowed to exercise [Canadian] warrants, although they're free to buy and sell them on the Canadian exchanges."

I always thought exercising my CKG warrants down the line was probably unlikely (versus selling), but if the bid side was ever less than the the intrinsic value, I assumed I had the choice to exercise instead.

Now that I think about it, sounds like a good problem to have since the warrants would have to be well in the money to lose all their premium.
