All of these materials were discovered by pure chance,
not by design. Somebody just cooked and measured the right
stuff. We understand roughly what's going on, but that
does not help - new materials keep popping up by chance,
as calculating Tc even in conventional SC requires a lot
of computer power and is not precise, even thou the theory
exists. It's just easier to cook the stuff. We know roughly
what to look for now, but there are many possibilities.
So, new materials keep popping up. -g-

Things are shifting to design a bit, but it's a long and
difficult road.
