Whether or not this can be achieved on real code outside of HPC is the question. I think the real question is if the new core (and anything else they can invent) can do the same thing that the new architecture did back in 2003. I think not. Not only that, but if this core is not some amazing difference to AMD performance and COST, AMD is relegated to a company making money for a change providing, of course, what they say is true of their process technology. Not a lot of it, but enough to finally have a P/E ratio. That puts Intel in the position of making lots of it. So life goes on until the lawsuit which has no monetary cash consequences. Smooth
