An interesting development (perhaps nothing significant) is that currently the Arctic sea ice anomaly is increasing in the middle of winter. See this link:

I assume this is due to the recent AO heating the arctic (while cooling the USA and parts of europe), but if this trend hangs in there, we are going to have one of the largest winter sea ice anomalies, and that might well set the stage for a record in the summer too.

Meanwhile, all the nutcases think AGW is dead due to the cold spells in populated areas. LOL!
