I have the season average wheat prices for my area going back to 1910. The season average for 1914 was .92, up from .72 in 1913. Using an inflation adjusting calendar, that price would be roughly 18.50 in 2009 dollars. Obviously there are many reasons why the price of wheat hasn't kept up with inflation, but it's still interesting to play with the numbers.
