I still vividly remember when my kids were little and we had a big snowstorm.

They would go out and play in the snow until soaking wet and nearly frozen.

We would hang up their wet clothes near the woodstove, give them all of the hot chocolate they wanted, and dress them in dry clothes and send them back out.

We didn't get very many really goods snows, so it was a treat for them.

I remember one year I took a snow shovel and built them a long ramp from the top of our porch, down the steps, across the sloped yard, and all of the way out to the ditch by the road in front of the house. They would ride their plastic snow dishes on the ramp for hours.

We are supposed to get six to twelve inches tonight and tomorrow, and I hate having to mess with it now, but it still brings back fond memories.

At least I still have a four wheel drive pick-up in case I need to get around.

Have fun,
Phil
