I'm rather surprised by the muted reaction thus far to the iPad. It looks to me like it will be a great platform for a variety of media at a quite reasonable price. In addition to saving students' backs from their brickloads of textbooks, I can see these touchscreens becoming very popular with traders and artists. Those bemoaning the lack of a camera, Flash, and even an onboard telephone will probably find Apple happy to add such goodies to the device in the near future.
