All the blue and green boxes in that grid should be consolidated into a single big box that says "In-Place Upgrade!!!". With a little asterisk-line at the bottom that says "What did you expect? Did you really think we'd treat our customers like sh*t?". The current grid is a travesty and an eloquent--if sardonic--comment on the pain Microsoft has inflicted on hapless computer users during its fading quarter-century hegemony. Therefore the chart in its present form should be an enormous humiliation to Microsoft and anyone who holds shares in it. But we're a country of conventional wisdom and mass hypnosis, so of course it probably isn't. Instead, Microsoft shareholders, rather than noting the extreme, or maybe Ultimate, self-satire screaming from that chart, are probably rather proud of it. --QS
