I tried and it wasnt worth the problems you could encounter, inline assembler and some other things didnt work as with MS Compiler. Normally there are only a few tight inner loops to optimize manually. Nobody in his right mind would ship a CD or a download game compiled with Intel-Compiler because there have been often many compatibility issues. If you have enough money maybe one could try to make two versions one for Intel and one for AMD-CPU with different compilers. But coupled with the normal tight deadlines, it just a nogo. HPC maybe, but not for distributed software.
