actually its age that changes people. These guys get too old, and their particular niche dries up (happens to all niches) and thats all they see. Ellison was the worst, in 2002 saying Silicon Valley was going to look like detroit in 10 years or something (about 3 mos prior to the GOOG IPO and the whole ipod craze).

Not sure how we here are escaping the age virus, what are we doing here?!!
