Don,

It is a difficult call to criticize Wagoner too much, for I believe no one could have turned it around without burning it down first. He did do a number of good things, but they were not enough.

His performance in front of Clowngress was an absolute embarrassment. I mean how many times can someone not answer a direct question, which was, "how much money do you need to survive until we can study this?".

Then again, an outsider like Ford has now is making a difference. I sat with purchasing at Ford last week and listened to them talk about what has changed and why, and it all points back to Mulally.
