Let me add: Why should the gov't support C's flea-market offer, which they pushed for [in the article]? The WFC offer, although not that jump-for-joy, is a **LOT** better.

I personally know elderly people who are being financially destroyed by this WB mess. If C prevails they will be ruined. If WFC is allowed to proceed getting WB, they will still be in financial distress (to put it mildly), but not as close to bankrupt as a person can get, as they would be thanks to the FDIC 'marriage' to C.
