I THINK Im hooked up with Norton protection and Webroot Spy Sweeper if that would be of any help.

You have something blocking cookies.

Disable them temporarily - which you can usually do by right clicking their icons in the icon tray, and then see if it works. If it does, enable one of them and see if it still works. If not, disable it again and enabled the other. That way you will know what the culprit is.
