No one will touch that, left or right. To do so smacks of racism- and this country is super sensitive to that.

It would be nice if you are right, and you may well be. Yet, the Rep's in a McCain-Obama election stand to lose little, given that Obama virtually makes a clean sweep of the black vote no matter what (as the polls will be showing).

That very fact will spawn an undercurrent of thought as to whether blacks (including Obama himself) are motivated by their country's best interest or by race.

This whole flap over Obama's church was basically about just that ("God damn America"). And it is just starting.
