OFDM has disadvantages when it come to peak to average power which makes it not ideal for the uplink.That's why LTE unlike Wimax is not using OFDM in uplink.They use SC-FDMA which has similarities to OFDM.

So are you saying that WiBRO/WiMAX will suffer permanently in terms of battery performance versus DOrA/HSPA+/LTE/UMB?
