I dont have an answer on this Sun. My post dealt with the reality of the volunteer army. What gives this military of ours all its professionalism and competence is the same thing that keeps dissent under control even now when 65% of the american people are firmly against the war. Vietnam with its draft is the flip side. Neither worked/sorks all that well. I have given up arguing on the draft because i can make both cases depending on which side of the bed i wake up on, on any given morning. Mike
