Yes, it's laughable what passes for "news" on Wall Street.

I suppose if George W. Bush or Ben Bernanke expresses an opinion, I consider it news, but J. Andrew Brayswell? One man's opinion, nothing more.

BTW, I was able to pick up some brainwaves when Fan opened the sunroof on his Mercedes without donning his shielded cap.

I learned that Kopin has customers with real and significant demand (from Asia, on the CyberDisplay side) which they do not have the productive capacity to meet. Two reasons for this are Bor-Yeu's failure to increase display yield after several years "on the job" and Fan's underinvestment in CyberDisplay production equipment.

Apparently he'd rather sit on that pile of cash to insure fat executive salaries ad infinitum than prepare for demand that may or may not materialize. The problem is that if you ever hope to take revenues to the next level, you've got to be ready ahead of any potential demand. You have to take a risk. The stated purpose of Kopin's public offerings was to raise capital for growth opportunities, not to fund an executive piggy bank. He's become too risk-averse these last few years; instead of anticipating he's been reacting and scrambling. That's why Kopin is in perpetual crisis mode.

The intimations of "big demand from Asia" are a recurring theme at Kopin, so I won't take it seriously unless they disclose a major new investment in capital equipment. That would ultimately result in the kind of revenue boost that will drop SG&A relatively.

As for Bor-Yeu, if he can't do the job he should be replaced. Is Kopin running a business or a charity ward?
